ONE SMALL STEP: This Week's Action
Last week, I hosted a workshop called "Spring Renewal: Your Next Chapter" where we explored powerful tools for transformation—a journey that requires both patience and a willingness to see differently.
Many of us resist change, clinging to familiar patterns even when they no longer serve us. Just as spring invites nature to renew itself, we too can embrace this season of growth by practicing intentional self-leadership.
The cornerstone of any successful transformation lies in what we explored during the workshop: We take control of our lives when we start by leading from within. Too often we're so busy handling life's demands that we rarely pause to consider if we're moving in the direction of our dreams.
One of our most impactful exercises was the personal SWOT analysis, which helps identify your Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats. This tool, often used in business contexts, is equally powerful for personal growth.
Try This Exercise: A simplified SWOT analysis to gain clarity
- Are you building the life you want? What are three strengths you can leverage in your current situation?
- How will you feel in five years if you're still doing exactly what you're doing now? What opportunity might be hidden within your current threats/challenges?
- How can you turn a perceived weakness into a stepping stone?
Remember: Reflection isn't just about fixing what's wrong; it's about celebrating what's right. When you clarify your values and align your actions with them, you develop unshakable confidence and stay laser-focused on what truly matters. And when we recognize that "I don't have time = it's not a priority," we begin to make different choices.
